Adjusting TimeLok XL
Timelok XL requires the inner door combination to adjust for Daylight Savings
Time (DST). These procedures must be followed very carefully. Caution: An
error in following these directions could result in an unintended combination
change that will require faxed authorization to correct via factory override.
For any unusual problems with DST, contact NKL Technical Service at (800)
452-4655.
- Enter your 6 digit combination. This will activate the Door 1/Level 1 light
and allow access to the outer door.
- Wait 6 seconds or until the Door 1/ Level 1 light goes out.
- Press the star (*) sign, followed by the 2 additional digits & the
2 additional digits again. (These two digits are the ones that allow you access
to the inner safe.)
The Door 1/Level 1 and the Maintenance light should be activated.
- Press the star (*) sign ONCE. The display should show the time of day. WARNING: If
you pressed the * button more than once, continue to press the * button until
the safe shows all 8’s. This will automatically return you to the main
display. Start the process again from Step 1. Failure to follow these instructions
may result in a combination change, which will require pre-authorization,
possibly by fax, to correct.
- To add an hour (Spring) Press 1. To Subtract an hour (Fall) Press 0.
- Press the * button until the time shows on the display.
